Luci James | Owner + Teacher
Luci James dreamt of being a professional dancer and a teacher when she was little and now is living out those dreaams. She’s been teaching for over 12 years and originally started as a private student of Bobbi in Sydney, then she started teaching at The Peach Pole Studio with Daisy and the team there where she still teaches today. She’s been professionally peforming for over ten years as a Burlesque & Pole Showgirl. Luci’s love will always be for the art of entertainment, she started producing a performance based competition in 2022 called Stage Queen and welcomes all different style of performance, art and dancing. She has competed herself in Miss Pole Dance NSW for 5 straight years and MPD Australia for 2 years running, as well as winning Sexy’s Back and 2nd Place in FloorPlay Professional Division. Luci’s favourite classes to teach involve building confidence, falling in love with your body, slowing down, connecting not only with yourself but the audience as well. Join her for her iconic Private Dancer workshops or 8 week courses, as well as her signature Slinky Choreo classes and Floor tricks!
Oryx | Teacher
Oryx loves pole dance because it’s a gender diverse, body positive and constantly evolving discipline where everyone can be authentically themselves. The strength, sensuality and subversiveness of pole dance is where Oryx lives.
There is something transcendent when people dance together – unafraid and unapologetic. Oryx is a performer, choreographer & lover of shapes. They have danced solo & as part of ensemble casts at Club Chrome, Sydney Fringe Festival, The Powerhouse Museum, The MCA, Dark Mofo TAS, Sydney World Pride & Mardi Gras.
Dorothy | Teacher
Dorothy has been pole dancing since 2015. She’s a passionate dancer and came 2nd runner up in Exotic generation Asia & Australia.
Her bright and bubbly personality is infectious, she makes her students feel comfortable and at home.
When she’s not at the pole studio you’ll find her baking delicious cakes.
Onyx | Teacher
Onyx started pole dancing in 2015 and has fallen in love with it ever since.
His style is all about flow and movement quality, he has competed numerous times and placed 2nd Runner up in Mr Pole Dance 2020.
His favorite thing about teaching is helping students achieve their goals and finding their confidence while having fun with pole.
Sylvia | Teacher
Sylvia is a lover of fitness, dance and inspiring people to be a better version of themselves. Beside pole dancing, she also dances salsa, Brazilian Zouk and contemporary dance.
She loves the way pole dancing transforms people not just on the outside but also within. She believes that strengthening technique, understanding what works for you and not taking yourself too seriously is a perfect way to progress in Pole.
She is also a full time Pilates instructor.
Basjia | Teacher
Basjia is an iconic performer within Sydneys queer scene. She has been apart of The Sydney Ballroom Scene for over 5 years, winning multiple Grand Prizes in Face, Body and notably Sex Siren. Her sex siren wins can be attributed to her natural sensual energy that exudes from within. She also is 2023’s MX Burlesque Sydney, having won this title for her first time competing, and is currently also teaching Burlesque within Sydney. She has worked within the industry for over 5 years and through this uncovered her love and passion for pole dance and floor play. Having performed for multiple Sydney World Pride events, she has also performed pole at Town Hall, The Museum of Contemporary Art, and numerous Queer led strip and pole events throughout Australia. Basjia has a heavy focus on essence, tapping in to your sensuality, connecting with your body, and feeling confident in yourself. This has been her focus throughout her years of teaching and she continues to encourage any of her students to embrace their individual style through their movement. Her pole style is all about range and you could be learning slow soft pole flow, to chaotic head thrashing punk rap, to booty shaking twerk, there are no limits.
Ruby De Rouge | Teacher
Ruby De Rouge, a professional dancer for six years, is the Apprentease NSW 2024 runner-up. She has performed at Royal Heart Revue in NSW, Vanguard Burlesque in QLD, and The Midway at Strawberry Fields in VIC. Ruby’s diverse career includes working as a Disney princess in Paris, a showgirl in Turkey, and a Bollywood dancer in New Zealand.
She holds a Commercial Contemporary Diploma from Brent Street and has been dancing since the age of five. With her extensive experience and formal training, Ruby brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her dance teaching.
