Hello, welcome to Gold!

I’m Luci James, the founder of The Golden Era Studio, formally Bobbi’s Gold.
In 2010 I accidently moved to Australia from London (more on that later). As all outsiders do, I found it hard to break into Aussie circles and make real friendships, so… I started dancing!
As a kid I had done a little
In 2011 I was a student in this very studio, just before it opened to the public my bestie and I did privates with Bobbi just after we became teachers ourselves, she introduced me to a woman who later opened studio on the Central Coast and I taught there for 12 lovely years.

Our History

This studio space was originally the home of Bobbi, formally called Bobbi’s Gold Pole Studio.

We love to pay tribute and express our gratitude to Bobbi who paved the way for pole dancers to enjoy this beautiful art form. 

Our C lasses

We have a range of different pole dancing class options to suit all levels and preferences for what you’re wanting to learn in a pole class. Plus, we have additional non pole classes called Temptress (Striptease, Lap dancing & Floorwork) and Flex (Active flexibility & mobility training for all levels).

Our Studio

The Golden Era is a beautiful boutique dance studio set in the heart of Sydney, we have ten competition grade 38mm brass poles that can be set to spin or static. Soft elegant lighting and high mirrors provide the perfect space to unwind from your day and enjoy a dance.

Our poles are extremely well spaced apart so everyone has room to dance, each student has a pole to themselves.

We are just a few minutes’ walk from Town Hall station and plenty of bus and metro routes.
