Luci James | Studio Founder + Teacher

Luci James dreamt of being a professional dancer and a teacher when she was little and now is living out those dreams. She’s been teaching for almost 14 years and originally started as a private student of Bobbi in this very studio. Luci then started teaching at The Peach Pole Studio where she taught for 12 years and managed for 8. She’s been professionally performing for over ten years as a Burlesque & Pole Showgirl.
Luci’s love will always be for the art of entertainment, she started producing a performance based competition in 2022 called Stage Queen and welcomes all different style of performance, art and dancing. She has competed herself in Miss Pole Dance NSW for 5 straight years and MPD Australia for 2 years running, as well as winning Sexy’s Back Professional Division and 1st Runner up in FloorPlay Professional Division.
Luci’s favourite classes to teach involve building confidence, falling in love with your body, slowing down, connecting not only with yourself but the audience as well. Join her for her iconic Temptress class if you’re looking for a confidence boost and a beautiful community.

Oryx | Teacher

Oryx loves pole dance because it’s a gender diverse, body positive and constantly evolving discipline where everyone can be authentically themselves. The strength, sensuality and subversiveness of pole dance is where Oryx lives.

There is something transcendent when people dance together – unafraid and unapologetic. Oryx is a performer, choreographer & lover of shapes. They have danced solo & as part of ensemble casts at Club Chrome, Sydney Fringe Festival, The Powerhouse Museum, The MCA, Dark Mofo TAS, Sydney World Pride & Mardi Gras.
